Description: For sale: Japanese<>English Interpreters Training Course by Nihon Tsuyaku Kyokai (pub. 1979). This is a set of 30 cassette tapes and ten manuals. The training includes exercises given in formal interpreter training (e.g. consecutive interpreting skills, simultaneous interpreting skills, shadowing, note taking); lectures by professional conference interpreters Nobuo Kanayama, Sen Nishiyama, and others; as well as an interview of Edward Seidensticker (who translated Tale of Genji and the works of Yasunari Kawabata) in one of the exercises. I bought the tapes new during the early 1980s, when I was living in Japan. The tapes are still in good condition.
The entire set weighs approximately 11.75 lbs. The asking price is USD $200 + s/h. The preferred payment method is Paypal. Delivery address must be a location serviced by the US Postal Service, FedEx, or United Parcel Service (UPS). If interested, please contact [email protected].
