Smaller companies were slightly weaker than larger companies in the second quarter, despite continued recovery in the domestic economies of Europe and Japan, and the relatively limited exposure of smaller companies to volatile currency movements. In this context, "financial style leadership" was varied, and market volatility swung between peaks and troughs throughout the period.

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es mit der Lage an den Finanzmärkten zu tun hat? Vielleicht: Die Lage an den Finanzmärkten war durchwachsen? Oder soll es bedeuten, dass Anleger unterschiedliche finanzielle Strategien verfolgten?
