Portuguese term

debrum osteofibrótico

Portuguese to English Medical Medical (general)
It is a medical report describing alterations of the spine - the word 'debrum' is confusing me a bit. Can anyone help as to what it refers to?

'Alterações degenerativas de espondilodiscartroses e uncartroses, multissegmentares, com discretos debruns ósteo-fibróticos, que não condicionam estenose canalar central que apresente repercussão sobre a medula cervical.'

Thanks for the help!

osteofibrotic debrum

I haven't found a single example containing this phrase. I guess it's one of those rare medical terms.

This is how I would translate it.

osteofibrotic: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/osteofibrotic#English
debrum: edging [noun] a border or fringe round a garment https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/portuguese-en...

debrum: 1. Tira que se costura dobrada sobre a borda de um tecido, us. como enfeite ou reforço. (Aulete Digital)

I know. Most likely, it's one of those terms rarely used. But anyway, it was good to see my translation validated by a doc.

sclerotic tissue from osteofibrous dysplasia

The term "debrum" is not used in medicine in English. It refers to damaged tissue, in this case, sclerotic tissue.
And the disease is better known in English as Osteofirbous Dysplasia, althought the term "osteofibrosis" also exists.
According to ChatGPT: "In a medical context, "debrum" is not a standard medical term or anatomical structure that I am familiar with as of my last update in September 2021. It's possible that the term might be a typo or a less common term."

neutral liz askew : sorry, but this does not make sense in the context, see my very last reference in the reference comments If you insist "neutral" it is.
