: Roald is right, as usual, and wrong, for once, as 'oppgjøre' isn't a Norwegian verb. Gjøre opp would be it. Do allow quincy a small typo after lunch on a Friday, there's a good chap.

I take Per's point. Settlement sounds like there has been a dispute - in which case accord & satisfaction would also work.
