German term
BB-ZU
German to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Insurance law / practice profile of lawyer
This is about the areas of practice of a German lawyer specialising, amongst other fields, in various aspects of insurance law.
The relevant paragraph mentions examples of professional assignments/cases. The phrase in question reads:
"Durchsetzung von Ansprüchen aus der BB-ZU, Sach- und Diebstahlsversicherung sowie Kaskoversicherung"
For confidentiality reasons, I am unable to disclose more information. Googling for "BB-ZU" in conjunction with "Versicherung", "Ansprüche" etc. has left me in the dark. I suspect that a Berufsunfähigkeits-Zusatzversicherung might be meant but this would not really correspond to the abbreviation.
MTIA for your expert help,
Steffen
P.S. The translation is for a British target readership (prospective clients and other legal professionals).

Ich denke, Günther hatte mit seinem Vorschlag Recht, nur jeweils der Zusatz hinter diesem BB- ändert sich.
Man kann einiges z.B. zur BUZ --> Berufsunfähigkeitszusatzversicherung finden,
s. http://www.bafin.de/versicherungsaufsicht/va_beruf.htm
Google-Suche nach BB-BUZ bringt auch relevante Texte dazu.
Also, entweder muss das hinten BUZ heißen ... . oder aber das ZU steht doch für (s. oben mein Vorschlag) --> Zusatzunfallversicherung.
HTH :-)

@ Günther - Könnte sein, aber wofür steht dann ZU?
