The epic novel "Al-Hilaliyah" Explanation: I would not go for translating titles unless they were not just proper nouns. Al-Hilaliya, if I am not mistaken, is an old Arab epic about a certain Abu Zaid bin Rizq Al-Hilali, head of the Bani Hilal tribe and the migration of Arabs from the peninsula to North Africa (among which is Tunisia). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 25 mins (2007-07-16 02:17:11 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Abdul Rahman provided the link, thank you - the epic novel of Bani Hilal Travels is also a possibility. |

Saga of Beni Hilal Explanation: Saga is a more accurate term. It's also used, for example: "a saga that involves the wars and conquests of the tribe of Beni Hilal in the fifth century of the Hijra..." http://weekly.ahram.org.eg/2005/764/cu5.htm "Their "saga" is still recounted in form of poetry in Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banu_Hilal |
