At the very beginning of the Qur’an, the first invocative reads:
“In the name of God, the most Merciful, the most Beneficent.”
Throughout the Qur’an, God’s name is thus invoked no less than 113 times.

I'm not sure about the exact meaning of "invoked" in this context. I would appreciate any help.

all of them start with Basmalah except Surat At-Tawbah. accordingly, there are at least 113 surahs of the Quran begins with Basmalah we can get out of the box for a moment and simply translate it as
تلاوة البسملة because I'd never herd about...

before we start reciting Quran we say bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem. scholars of Tafseer said that it means i started my recitation in the name of Allah. It is a well known matter that Quran consists of 114 Surah (chapters) all of them ...to be continued

Although I'm late here, I'd like to express my viewpoint. It is very clear that this sentence refers to Al-Basmalah "Starting affairs after mentioning the Name of Allah" I tend to translate it in this way because before we start reciting..to be continued

I agree with you imane. Your note is logical. Maybe, it it's about البسملة not لفظ الجلالة.

Correction لفظ الجلالة is mentioned 2699 times.

My quick search revealed that "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم" is mentioned 114 times, while لفظ الجلالة is mentioned 2600 times. So this would make a big difference. I think what they meant is that البسملة وردت ما لا يقل عن 113 مرة, because "no less than" suggests to me that it's "slightly over". I will wait for any confirmation. Thank you.

يستعين باسم الله

الاخت السائلة..المعنى المقصود هنا وكما نسمع دائما في كلام الخطباء ورجال الدين هو الإستعانة بالله في بداية العمل الذي نريد القيام به كمسلمين وليس بغيره. فصيغة التعبير عن هذه الإستعانة والتوكل أخذت أفضل شكلٍ لها في القرآن الكريم في صيغة الـ "بسمله": بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. والامر هنا لا يتعلق بذكر الله فقط بل بالتوكل عليه في الامور والاعمال.
