Spanish term or phrase: heredar... un planeta más habitable
Hola!!!

Gracias!!!

inherit... a more livable planet
Explanation:

¡Suerte!

neutral  CMJ_Trans (X): they inherit but we must leave them the legacy

agree  Lynda Tharratt: but...OJO "inherit" would be incorrect in this context unless of course you change the wording around "so that the next generation inherits" or "to pass on a more livable..." and "leave a legacy of a more livable planet for future generations" :)

  -> You're right about that.

neutral  Lisa McCarthy: 'inherit' not correct - it's the opposite as pointed out above
1 hr
-> You are correct. I focused on the caption and not on the full text beneath it. I still stand by livable.

neutral  Terry Burgess: Ours will never be a 'friendly' planet [human nature] but it hopefully might, eventually, become more 'livable'..for ALL its inhabitants. Sorry & Saludos, sinceros:-))

leave behind a more inhabitable planet

Explanation:
So, it would read... We have the obligation to leave behind a more inhabitable planet for the future generations.

leave . . . a move livable planet

Explanation:
In this case I believe the meaning of heredar is to leave or pass on

another way of saying it. Somehow 'livable' looks like it should be between inverted commas as it doesn't sound THAT natural (to me..)

bequeath/hand down ... a more hospitable planet

Explanation:
