Y no se si podría ser: "...for the various sources to extrapolate the data in a standard format..."

I see no problem with "extrapolate" here, the main thing here being that there should be a standard method used by all for extrapolating the figures

I think the use of the word extrapolar is wrong in the original Spanish. Here is the definition of extrapolar from RAE:
extrapolar.
(Formado sobre interpolar, con cambio del pref. inter- por extra-).
1. tr. Aplicar conclusiones obtenidas en un campo a otro.
2. tr. Mat. Averiguar el valor de una magnitud para valores de la variable que se hallan fuera del intervalo en que dicha magnitud es conocida.
I think what they means is:
integrar todos los datos provenientes de diversas fuentes para estandarizarlos.
extrapolar.
