sheltered waters Explanation: Not sure if you need a specific geographical term or something more descriptive: this suggestion is intended to be the latter - I am not a geographer :o). Have also tried to bear in mind your clarification at 4pm. The intention is that it would be clear from the context that the waters are sea not fresh. |
