the generalization of the roll voting mode Explanation: الاقتراع اللائحي is when the party provides a list (roll) of nominees , like they did in Iraq, instead of having single candidates do their election campaign, like what you have in Egypt. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 37 mins (2008-10-17 11:28:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "list proportional representation system" is what the elections system in Morocco is called..according to http://www.electionguide.org/country.php?ID=146 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 38 mins (2008-10-17 11:29:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Looking at Fayez' objection.. "Making the list-based voting system general" sounds better. Can we have some more context, Noha.. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2008-10-17 22:21:11 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- I think what is being meant by تعميم is that they have two different election systems, one for the Upper House and one for the Lower House (I am being English, sorry).. and that they want to make them both the same. This is what I gathered from reading the news and discussions online yesterday. So not sure about "diffusion" and "mainstreaming". More like - contextually - unifying both systems.. Anyone with better ideas? |
