Pour "in-channel", j'ai trouvé en canal. Il y a pas mal de documents qui parlent de dégrilleurs à monter en canal (montage ou installation en canal).

Pour "above-channel", je n'ai rien trouvé, mais par opposition à "in-channel", il est possible qu'il s'agisse simplement de "sur canal". On parle parfois de montage en applique, mais je ne suis pas sûr.
J'ai pensé aussi à montage immergé (in-channel) / émergé (above-channel) (dégrilleurs à panier immergé/émergé). Je ne suis pas sûr non plus.
