I’m translating a document from Spain into US English. It’s about banking software for managing bank guaranties. My question is about a type of risk involved in guaranties. I’ve seen “monetary risk”, amongst others, but haven’t been able to confirm that.

CONTEXT:

“A lo largo del documento se mencionarán los distintos conceptos de “riesgo” que se producen en un aval:

- Riesgo de materialización. Es el riesgo inicial del aval.
- Riesgo de firma normal. Es el riesgo vivo del aval en cada momento.
- Riesgo de firma por intereses impagados. Es específico de los avales financieros. En estos casos el riesgo de materialización coincide generalmente con el importe del préstamo, sin tener en cuenta los intereses de éste, pero cuando se produce el impago de las cuotas del préstamo, esos intereses producen un saldo deudor.
- Riesgo dinerario: importe de la operación de ejecución que queda impagado y el banco tiene que recuperar.”
