I kept thinking that the text suggested that AZT was a clotting marker as it said that it was controlled constanly in order to keep optimum heparinazation levels. It's been a while since I did cardiology so I went back and read about PTCA. It turns out that a clotting marker called ACT is used in these procedures to monitor the heparization levels
