flanks
When referring to edema in a bedridden patient, zonas declives refers to the flanks.

Discussion
Quote: "Dependent oedema is a case of oedema that changes with the state of the underlying cause’s dependent parts. For example, when a person has leg edema as a result of congestive heart failure, as the buildup of plaque within the effected vessel gets worse, so does the oedema in the leg".
Any comments?
