Spanish term

trasbarra

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Architecture service areas & restuarants
Hi Everyone,

This is from a Spanish architectural firm's project summary guide. The client wants UK English.

In this section about a restuarant prototype it says:

Desde la implantación general del edificio hasta el diseño del mobiliario, desde el lay-out del back-office hasta la gráfica de *tras-barra*… Con la marca XXXXX y cocina de autor por XXXXX, operará como un centro de I+D.

From what I can tell a trasbarra is a piece of restaurant furniture, It is the counter with the coffee maker that goes behind the bar.

Does anyone know what this is in English? Thank you for your help!

(rear) preparation counter/bar

In the few bars I've worked in we tended to use this area to prepare coffees, cocktails, snacks, sandwiches, etc.... but I don't remember that it had a specific name.
Just food for thought.
