This is actually a description of an artist's project that takes place at a brickwork in Argentina. The term is well described in the text, but I could not find any analogous term in English. Here is the dialogue
-¿Para qué son las tripas?
-Es el ligue. Es tripa de caballo que tiene pasto procesado. Lo que hace la fibra del pasto es unir, ligar mejor el material. Cuando matan a las vacas todo lo que no sirve lo venden en las ladrilleras. Es una mezcla del pasto molido con partes de estómago. Todo eso viene a parar acá. Es un reciclado interesante. Esas maderas que están ahí que usan para encender el horno (donde se secan los ladrillos) son residuos de pallets que si no serían basura. Todo lo que hay acá aunque parezca la basura más infame es algo que los ladrilleros van a usar para trabajar.
