Spanish term

chuparse el dedo

Spanish to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
I need to know the English equivalent to "chuparse el dedo", such as in "No me puedes engañar, que yo no me chupo el dedo".

I am not seeking the literal translation but rather an equivalent to this expression, which means something akin to "you can't trick me, I'm no longer a baby".

Muriel Vasconcellos Dec 28, 2014:
Turnip truck I hear it in the context of "you can't fool me." To me, it's a match for 'I wasn't born yesterday' with a little more color.
teju Dec 28, 2014:
Meaning of "to fall off a turnip truck" The meaning I'm familiar with has to do more with being naïve, inexperienced, unsophisticated, akin to a "county bumpkin". I'm copying below a definition I found online.

Idiom Definitions for 'Fall off the turnip truck'
If someone has just fallen off the turnip truck, they are uninformed, naive and gullible. (Often used in the negative)

I'm not a baby.

In a different context it would have been "finger licking" good.
However, here it means I'm not dumb that you can stick a finger in my mouth. Or I'm not as gullible as a child [a suckling].
