Taken from script written by a Puerto Rican screenwriter.
—Conmigo no es con quien debes disculparte. Llegas tarde el primer día con nuevo jefe y pasa eso. A ver cómo haces ahora...—la respuesta no me hizo sentir mejor.
Hice una mueca.
—Al sol de hoy todavía me pregunto por qué sigues trabajando conmigo...
—Porque me adoras —sonrió—. Y porque te saco de cada lío.

even now/still
'Al sol de hoy' is the same as 'Al día de hoy' and I can't find a suitable translation that woud fit here.
I think I would write, 'I still can't understand why you carry on working for me'.
'Even now I wonder why you're still working for me'.
'I still ask myself today why you haven't given up working for me'.

Sorry, 'which might suit', NOT 'which you might suit...'.

Spanish term (edited):
Al sol de hoy todavía me pregunto por qué sigues trabajando conmigo
It never ceases to amaze me that you're still working for me
OR: It never ceases to amaze me that you carry on working for me
As this is a dialogue, I'd use a freer, more colloquial translation, incorporating the whole phrase

OR, even less literal, perhaps: I can't for the life of me figure out why you're still ...
