: actually think it means the opposite ie "without prejudice to"//notwithstanding a, b applies means b applies whereas without prejudice to a, b applies means a applies. Get it? All in the event a and b are inconsistent of course

: I always have to look up notwithstanding, because I can never remember whether it means the same as "without prejudice to", or the opposite.
