I'm not sure exactly what is meant by this: the context is - Diffidiamo dei windsurfisti da spiaggia, del c’è troppo vento ... c’è poco vento.
I wondered whether it might be passing a derogatory comment on people who think they know about windsurfing but never leave the beach - or is simply trying to say that you don't know what it's like out on the waves unless you're out there! Or is there another explanation? Any ideas anyone? Thanks.
(Previously, the text - which seems to be snatches from a website - has talked about a watersports centre where each person is free to find their own level so I think this may be a completely unrelated line -)

I'm not going to post additional context here without the asker's permission, but the text is easy to find online. Its tone is friendly and encouraging, and they're not being derogatory in any way. They're simply saying don't sit there making excuses that there's too much wind, or not enough: just get in the water and enjoy it.
I don't think "beach windsurfers" works because "beach" is ambiguous. All windsurfing takes place at the beach, because it also refers to the water. Here, we're just talking about the sand, which is why I've suggested "who never get their feet wet".
I'll leave you to decide how to translate "diffidiamo". I think it's meant in a humorous, ironic way - "we're suspicious of" - but you could tone it down and say "we have no time for" or "we're not very patient with".

: In US slang a "bum" is a homeless person (see urban dictionary). In UK (I am native UK English) slang it is a person you have no respect for. This doesen't seem to be the meaning in the context.//I'm not hinting at bummer. "Bum" is very much vulgar slang.
