English term
x close
English to German
Tech/Engineering
Mechanics / Mech Engineering
Hi! This appears several times with different sizes in a bill of materials for a high-pressure pump:
NIPPLE, 1" NPT X CLOSE, SCH 40, SEAMLESS
No further context, but there are plenty of examples online, e.g.:
http://www.amazon.com/Industrial-Grade-1VGG3-Nipple-Threaded...
Does anybody know what the "x close" part means? And of course, what the German equivalent would be?
Thanks!

Bleibt noch die Frage, wofür "SCH 40" steht. Interessanterweise entspricht dies ungefähr dem Maß 1-1/2" = 38,1 mm.
