(in a patent) A vehicle latch
in a latch system that includes an electronic actuator, the controller described above may receive a wireless command from a key fob , cell phone or the like to UNSECURE the vehicle latch assembly as an operator approaches the vehicle to enter.
actuation of the lock lever moves the lock link between an engaged position and a disengaged position, the engaged position corresponding to an UNSECURED CONDITION of the vehicle latch assembly by allowing the vehicle latch assembly to be moved to an open condition and the disengaged position corresponding to a SECURED CONDITION of the vehicle latch assembly by maintaining the vehicle latch assembly in the closed condition.
The embodiments of the vehicle latch assembly and system prevents unwanted release of a vehicle door due to door handle movement because the latch is “locked” (i.e., secured) as soon as the door is fully closed, while also allowing for door release upon full pulling of the door handle.

http://www.proz.com/kudoz/english_to_french/mechanics_mech_e...
