This is a passage in a description relative to a patent, I need to know how to translate the expression " budding curiosity browsing to true reliance" I think the author here is not using really technical words but he is using some literary expressions .

Le document est fortement daté, il mentionne Netscape et Internet explorer 4 comme des nouveautés et la navigation sur le web comme une curiosité naissante (le 1996 dans le paragraphe d'avant nous ramène 20 ans en arrière)
Pour la suite le web est devenu un vrai support sur lequel on peut compter (true reliance) et cette question en est une illustration
