: This is the wrong way round: the user has to ask to have it sent to them (note: 'have ... sent'), not vice-versa.

yes that’s what I meant, the important thing is that it’s the email that contains the link to reset the password. The email is not a notification in itself.

: Too passive; "have sent" means they have to do something to ask for it to be sent .

I disagree. In the context, my suggestion perfectly conveys the meaning without falling into the word-for-word trap. "Faire envoyer" is inappropriate and much too "lourd"
