comentarios de llamar luego cuando sepa lo que pasa

Spanish to English Marketing Marketing customer satisfaction survey from a gas supplier
Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing fine today.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this phrase, I seem to be struggling to make sense of it.

It is from a customer satisfaction survey for a gas supplier.

The question asked was:

"Finally, do you have any additional comments to make regarding your experience with {business}?"

The full answer given was:

"Los responsables de atender una queja o pregunta tendria de cumplir los comentarios de llamar luego cuando sepa lo que pasa"

This answer was provided by a private customer rather than a business.

This is from Spain to be translated into UK English.

Many thanks for your help :)

Kind regards,

Kerryann

saying they'll call back once they know what's happening

My take is slightly different from Robert's. As I understand it, the whole sentence says that the people in charge of dealing with complaints or enquiries should meet their commitment to call (the interviewee) back when they know the results.
What often happens is that the people administering the surveys say "we'll call you back and let you know"... but then you never hear from them again.

The key point for me is that they should keep their promise to call back, i.e. ""if they say they will call you back once they know what's going on, they should actually do it"...

agree Robert Carter : Yes, you're right, Neil, though I think it's more like "if they say they will call you back once they know what's going on, they should actually do it".

they should call (the client) back once they know what's going on

The Spanish sentence is poorly written and it is difficult to understand what the person wanted to say, but my guess is that after making a complaint on the phone, the client expected to be called back by the company in order to discuss the problem. Perhaps somewhere the company stated that they would call the client if they receive a complaint.
Peer comment(s):

agree Ana Florencia Fernandez : I agree. The sentence in Spanish is poorly written. I believe it might be some telephone customer service, where they complete an electronic form and write they'll call back in the "comments" section. They might have written it while talking on the phone.

They (Customer Service) should follow up with the customer upon receipt of a claim or complaint.

This is what I read.
