Bonjour,
Dans le cadre de la doctrine de l'estoppel,
"A person having a legal interest of privity in any action, matter, or property, a person who is in privity with another".
Un peu de contexte ------> "Mr. XXX and YYY are privies for the purposes of the collateral estoppel doctrine"
Normalement cela correspondrait à "ayant droit" dans le sens où un action est reprise postérieurement mais dans le cadre de cette affaire ce que l'on essaie de souligner, c'est la communauté d'intérêt entre ces deux parties à l'instance. j'en suis arrivé à l'expression de "parties liées" mais ce n'est pas proprement satisfaisant dans la mesure où cela s'emploie plutôt dans le monde des affaires.

: true, but that's not the translation for "privies", that's only expressing the fact BOTH parties have something in common, but it says NOTHING about what exactly they have in common IOW the "privies" part is basically left untranslated!
