I didn't know hydrolyze was a synonym... it's much more common on things like food labelling.
In principle,"hydrolyzed" means that a chemical compound is split into smaller units in the presence of water; for example, sucrose is split into glucose and fructose.

: the process of breaking a complex carbohydrate (such as starch or cellulose) into its monosaccharide components.

I still like "saccharified/saccharifiable" though, because these words immediately evoke sugars, whereas "hydro" just says water to me initially... if you get my drift :-)

Sacarificar is saccharify in English, but I can't find a way of translating sacarificable.
