Spanish to English Law/Patents Real Estate Mexican Property

Hi all,

I would like to have included a longer phrase in the term box, as it's the whole sentence I'm confused by.

This is the entire phrase. It's from a property document relating, I think, to a lot on common land ( 'ejido' ), hence 'certificado parcelario'

'En consecuencia, se cancela la inscripcion que obra en el folio no. XXX , en donde consta el expedicion del correspondiente certificado parcelario'

Does it refer to cancelling a previous document , and the new one replaces it?, or is 'cancelar' not meaning 'cancel' in this case (like when cancelar means to pay a fee, for example)?
