Small sized granules are recycled back to the granulator as the seed and over sized granules are crushed through the double roller type crusher and recycled back to the granulator together with the under sized granules as the seeds.

In the Stamicarbon fluid bed granulation process,
granular urea is produced by spraying a film of liquid
urea onto fluidized seed material at low pressure.
The seed (recycle) material is introduced into the
first chamber of the granulation section, where urea solution is sprayed onto it.
The fine product is recycled to the granulator where
it is used as seeding material.
