commissioner of a lead-acid battery les préparateurs (pour l'utilisation) d'accumulateurs au plomb / de batteries Explanation: the sense of "to commission" HERE is the same as in "commissioning" a newly build factory - making it ready for its intended (/"for real") use. lead-acid battery are often delivered dry without the sulphuric acid in them, so before you can start using them you need to "commission them" i.e. fill them with acid. In the real world ONLY lead-acid batteries need this kind of "commissioning", other types of batteries are already "ready for use" when they cross the factory gates. Can't see what else could make any sense - what other kind of "commissioning / commissioner" would involve giving a "material safety sheet" together with delivered batteries. |

commanditaire Explanation: Isn't that what we'd normally say in this sort of context? I'm assuming it is 'the person who has commissioned the production of this MSDS' -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2021-09-17 10:16:37 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Here is just one of very many Google hits where 'commissioner' is used in exactly this sense; the point being that the person commissioning the MSDS may not necessarily always be the actual manufacturer (as happend fortuitously to be the case here) Safety Data Sheetshttp://sds.staples.com › msdsPDF Tel:+86-769-3893 3228 Fax:+86-769-3893 3229 E-mail: [email protected]. Safety Data Sheet (SDSs). Type/Mode. Commissioned by. Commissioner address. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2021-09-17 16:27:14 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This is all about who commissioned the writing of the MSDS — perhaps counter-intuitively, it isn't necessarily always the manufacturer! But to anyone in the field, this is standrad terminology — in EN, at any rate; less sure about FR, though it is certainly used. |
