I have expanded the text slightly to make the meaning clear. 'Shears' here is a verb, as we can see from some of the other list items about 'what it can do'.

I don't entirely agree with the S/T use of 'bolts', as of course it will shear machine screws etc. as well! I think this more generic use of 'bolt' in EN might perhaps be better rendered less literally in FR?

j'ai lu trop vite, j'ai cru voir un point avant le terme
du coup c'est plutôt cela,
c'est surement en lien avec les trous de cisaillement pour vis/boulons qu'on peut trouver sur la pince alors ça serait plutôt comme réponse,

La pince permet de couper des vis/boulons de ...

agree  Jean Lachaud: « Capacité de coupe: vis de 2,6 à 5 mm. », tout simplement. Et on rappelle qu'il faut une VIS ET un ÉCROU pour parler de boulon. Sans écrou, c'est une VIS, ce qui est bien évidemment le cas ici.

  -> Merci, Jean ! Je pense que c'est primordial de faire la différence entre 'couper' et 'cisailler', compte tenu du mode de fonctionnement de cet outil.
