Lot 9 pastilles discriminantes

1 item in a catalogue, items before and after not associated.
I`ve tried swallowing the bloody things in the hope that I would be discriminated against and not choke. I was wrong.
Any random idea would be much better than mine.
TIA Chris.

I found this link which calls them "Clé adhésive fixe" (pages 8, 9, 21)
https://enstocom-assets.azureedge.net/globalassets/brochures...

and in English "Adhesive fixed key" (pages 5, 8, 17, 20)
https://enstocom-assets.azureedge.net/globalassets/brochures...

They are coloured but the important part seems to be the keyed post (as described here on pages 6 and 7 of this brochure) without which, the plug cannot connect to the adapter.

colour-coded stickers

Explanation:
Pastilles :

discriminant : helps you to distinguish one thing from another, to tell them apart.

In computing (hardware), you get colour-coded cables, tags on cables, etc., etc.

Have a look at the back of your internet router (a "box" in France) for an obvious example.

Larousse, "discriminant":

https://www.larousse.fr/dictionnaires/francais/discriminant/...

Qui établit une séparation, une différenciation entre deux termes, qui distingue nettement l'un de l'autre.

agree  Bourth: These people lump cable tags and coloured stickers together: https://www.signals.fr/marquage-industriel/etiquettes-pastil...

  -> Thanks CadastreToulous!

agree  Samuël Buysschaert: That's the right idea imo but no sure about "sticker".

-> Thanks Samuël! Or "colour-code labels", maybe?

neutral  philgoddard: I don't think they're stickers, and I'm surprised Samuël has agreed with you. Surely they're the plastic things that he found.

disagree  Daryo: wires inside a cable are "colour coded" // for example in UK in an electrical cable the "Live" wire must be Blue, "Neutral" must be Brown (= their "colour code"), these tags can be of any colour, as long you can tell appart each cable, there's no "code".

Cable Marking Tags

Explanation:
these are tags used to "discriminate" (= tell apart) cables in a local area network, usually one at each end of the network cable.

Theoretically these tags could be also used to "discriminate" individual wires, but (1)wires inside a standard cable are normally already colour-coded (2) when building a LAN, no one is messing with individual wires so these tags must for cables.

Samples aplenty, take your pick

.. so these tags must be for cables.
