Asker: "At present" in the sense of temporary or current Professor? Not sure I understand. I don't know what the «δε» is doing here either. Just above in the source text is the name of another professor and then Καθηγητής της ιατρικής σχολής.

agree  Peter Close: I would have said, 'Presently,' with a comma after it but what you have written is also suitable./Only a foreigner who does not know English well might confuse 'presently' with 'soon' in a sentence like this one. I prefer 'presently' here.
