agree, and if there are more than two, it should be "the difference/distance among them" (instead of "between")

еще не праздную :) А расстояние и сближение могут считаться по-разному (по касательным и по коорд. осям, например). В любом случае, не в "различии" вопрос ;-)))

По-моему так проще всего. А под различием понятно что имеется в виду (мне - нет)? Это может быть различие формы (1 и 2 производные), или различие значения какой-нибудь функции (диф. формы, пардон за каламбур) на этих кривых. Если знать, какому из случаев это соответствует, может быть можно поаккуратней сформулировать.
