Hi all,
I'm having trouble finding the right translation for مديات .
It appears in a short text I am translating, by an Iraqi poet who is writing about his creative process. The main theme is that love is at the source of poetry, and poetry at the source of love. Here is the surrounding text:
لم أتمكن من أن أطلَّ على نفسي وعلى الأشياء إلّا من خلال نافذة حبي، من هذه النافذة حصراً صار بإمكاني أن الوّح لأفق الشعر ومدياته الواسعة وأكتشف أسرار الكلمات التي رسمت ملامح قصيدتي.
Does it mean something like "wide capabilities/range"?

Somebody had no idea how to form and write poetry and after a certain incident starts to see it so close that he / she imagine could wave hand to it and to all meanings of it/all types of it.
Which means starts to write poems so deep in its meanings touching the heart, so emotional ... , so creative .. .
