De lo contrario, advierte Savater: «La vida perpetua perdería cualquier sentido (...) porque nos sobraría tiempo para emprenderlo todo, conseguirlo todo y renunciar a todo. La única interpretación inteligible de lo que llamamos dar sentido a la vida es la administración orientada hacia esto o aquello de la escasez del tiempo de que disponemos».

Wider context: Academic text on ageing, longevity etc.

Had assumed "meaning"/"sense of meaning", but on reviewing (with tired brain) wondering if it should be "point" ie. eternal life would have no point

I can't find a published translation so am assuming the quote is too new/ doesn't already exist in English. Author seeming to be Fernando Savater who has written a book called "La vida eterna", though I can only guess it might be where the Spanish quote is from as the text includes many quotes but no specific references.
