academic transcript
Trying to translate this into English
I found this in an academic transcript from an undergraduate course in Paraguay. I have a bit of trouble with the wording. How would you include the approval of the dissertation as a requirement, into the sentence?
El titular debera presentar, defender ya probar una Tesina para optar por el título de Licenciado en Lengua Inglesa
The holder must succesfully submit and present a dissertation to be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Arts in English

I would use "dissertation", at least in the US, for a doctoral thesis. Thank you, Phil.
