agree  philgoddard: I'm not sure about "on behalf of" in this context. Isn't it the guardia civil signing on behalf of the sergeant, hence the full stop and capital E after the O? But well done for working out the abbreviation.

  -> Yeah was unsure about "obo" here too, but can't think of what else would do in En. Very little to go on, but I understood it was the sergeant signing on behalf of the GC, who deal with traffic here in Spain so prob related to an accident investigation.

neutral  James A. Walsh: Considered pp but not suitable here I feel. I've always understood it as a sort of "personally sanctioned" sort of affair where the designated person can sign on behalf of the other person at their discretion. That is not the case here though...
