oxygen saturation Explanation: A pulse oximeter measures your oxygen saturation by being placed on the end of your finger. The measurement that is being given (98%) is oxygen saturation as recorded by a pulse oximeter (misurata al dito medio della mano destra). "Pulse oximetry measures how much oxygen the haemoglobin in your blood is carrying. This is called the oxygen saturation and is a percentage (scored out of 100). It's a simple, painless test which uses a sensor placed on your fingertip or earlobe." https://www.blf.org.uk/support-for-you/breathing-tests/tests... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 mins (2023-02-23 14:54:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "A pulse oximeter is a device that is usually placed on a fingertip. It uses light beams to estimate the oxygen saturation of the blood and the pulse rate.
