German term

Diagnose: Z.n. akuter Ertaubung rechts, Hochgradige Schwerhörigkeit rechts

FVA German to English Medical Medical (general)
From a German audiometry and hearing loss diagnosis.

My attempt:

Diagnosis: Status post sudden sensorineural hearing loss, severe hearing impairment on the right side.

I'm mostly wondering whether akuter Ertaubung can be translated as SNHL, but I'd also appreciate any feedback about the phrasing here.

Thank you in advance!

Diagnosis: S/P sudden hearing loss, severe hearing loss in the right ear

I would put it as "sudden hearing loss" in order to avoid overtranslation.

Also, S/P is a standard abbreviation for "Status post"
