neutral  philgoddard: Isn't that VPH, virus del papiloma humano?

-> Here is where my multilingual experience comes in handy. It is not a typo, but rather (I strongly suspect) a translation from a Slavic language into Spanish in the first place. C stands for "človeški" (= human)or similar in Slavic languages, so CPV.

neutral  liz askew: indeed, VPH = virus del papiloma humano, though your answer does make sense in the context. Is it a typo then?

-> It is not a typo, but rather a retained original (Slavic) acronym that the original translator into Spanish likely left intact. I often see it happen. Who would bother researching acronyms for 3 cents a word? I understand them in a way.

agree  Marga Shaw: This seems to be a reasonable translation. Please see my discussion entry above.

concentración plasmática de vancomicina (vancomycin serum concentration; vancomycin monitoring))

Explanation:

neutral  philgoddard: I agree about the "Slavic translation", but I'm not sure this is very likely in the context either.
