Spanish term or phrase: bajar de cara
This is in relation to using a ladder:

"Evita las posturas forzadas manteniendo el centro del cuerpo entre los dos largueros de la escalera. Baja las escaleras de cara."

Am struggling to understand it or find a translation.

Explanation:
It sounds slightly ridiculous but it would seem to mean you should face the ladder when descending.

Then again, tins of paint in Spain carry the pointless piece of advice, "No morder las superficies pintadas" ¿?
