Oh my goodness!
It really depends on the context, how litrary or everyday-spoken it is. One might also say "Oh, my!", "Oh, dear God!", etc....

: US: "Oh my God!" for disasters, "Oh my goodness!" normally to express disbelief, bewilderment, astonishment, etc.

Thanks. I totally agree; therefore it is really important to see the context.... Other options could be: "That's terrible!" or "what a disaster!" like my college mentioned.
