Etant donné que l'on décrit uniquement une lésion pulmonaire, il s'agit bien d'une pneumopathie interstitielle et non pas de métastases GI d'un cancer du poumon, par exemple. Avec la description de la lésion, la question ne se pose plus, c'est bien un typ

Now, once again, when searching I did find diseases with both intestinal and pulmonary involvement such as TB.

Pneumopathie intestinale/internale/profonde

Apparently you can have an intestinal surface of the uterus, which is the interior wall of the uterus, which is folded up on itself. I suppose that this can mean the same thing in the lungs.
Interstistitiel means more "in between", but all the same could mean the same thing. However I do think that the author would have used this term because it is a commonly used medicine.
