Substanz aici este folosit intr-un sens mai abstract pentru capitalizarea acestei intreprinderi. In engleza s-ar vorbi despre "value of assets". In germana se foloseste cu drag expresia: "von der Substanz leben", in sensul de a "manca" capitalul unei firme (sau chiar a intregii economii unei tari), deci a a trai bine consumand rezervele acesteia.
