German term

hängt an Kunde

German Bus/Financial Automotive / Cars & Trucks Purchase order
I posted this on German -> English without much success. All help much appreciated

hängt an Kunde

A computer programme for keeping track of vehicles in stock at various showrooms.

There is a screen for recording purchases. One field is "purchase order type" and there are three possible choices "Lager", "hängt an Kunde" oder "Gebrauchtwagen"

I've no idea what "hängt an Kunde" could mean

TIA

abhängig vom Kunden

Wahrscheinlich ist hier "abhängig vom Kunden" oder "hängt vom Kunden ab" gemeint.
Vielleicht handelt es sich bei dem Ausgangstext bereits um eine "schlechte" Übersetzung?

German term (edited): hngt an Kunde

delivered to client (dealer)

Another idea:

1st choice: is in stock (not yet sold)
2nd choice: is delivered to client (paid or not paid)
3rd choice: used car (has different conditions)

This may be valid for delivering cars to dealers, but not to final clients

Another idea

Maybe they use some sort of ID paper or whatever and this has been clipped to the client's purchase order (Kaufvertrag).
Just a guess.
