Spanish term
besódromo
Spanish to English
Art/Literary
Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
As far as I´m concerned this word is used all around Southamerica, and it basically describes a place where people usually get to by car in order to have sex, make out and other similar stuff. It´s place a besides the road, like a parking lot , and most people obviously go there at night where there is almost no light. I guess that in a way it´s like the auto-cinemas you can see in movies, but with no movie at all.
In this particular case, it´s merely used to decribe "el besódromo de la rambla (seashore street) montivedeana", which is the location remark in the scene of a movie script, so this is where this scene would take place. I´m translating to EN-UK, and I really would appreciate some ideas so as to find an equivalent term for this word.
Thanks!

: I have heard this one before. The word "lane," which rhymes with "lover" is also used for a type of road, i.e., street, avenue, blvd., parkway, etc.

: I think the plural 'lovers lane' is best here. Round the corner from where I live there is "Love Lane" which is an ill-lit mostly car-free old lane that leads down to the sea.

never heard the word before, but I'd say 'makeout lot' fits the description.
Discussion
Pero está buena la pregunta, no sabría cómo decirlo en inglés...
En cualquier caso hay que tener en cuenta que un lugar así no es muy frecuente en la vida cotidiana de la mayoría de la gente, por lo que es normal que su uso no esté muy difundido.
De cualquier manera les agradezco los comentarios, todo suma...
