I am currently translating a legal ruling concerning a sales commission agreement in Mexico and would appreciate any help translating the above in the following context:
LA DOCUMENTAL PÚBLICA, consistente en el acta No. XXX otrogado ante la fe del licenciado XXX titular de la Corredería Públic número XXX del Distrito Federal, en el que consta la notificación y requerimiento hecho a XXX mediante la cual se le solicita las copias certificadas del las cartas a dicha institución de crédito

I usually use "PUBLIC DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE" here, as the full term is actually "prueba documental pública". You could also simply use "public document". It refers to any documents (issued by government bodies, notaries, etc.) that are a matter of public record.

A state paper, or other instrument of public importance or interest, issued or published by authority of congress or a state legislature. Also any document or record, evidencing or connected with the public business or the administration of public affairs, preserved in or issued by any department of the government. See Ilammatt v.
