French term

cabinet médical détaché

Non-PRO French to English Medical Medical (general) medical CV/Resume
From a medical CV: (pardon the lack of certain accents, I can't copy them in)

Secteur: Region Rhone-Alpes cabinet médical détaché du Centre de Reeducation ROMANS FERRARI dans l'Ain (01)

I understand that the ROMANS FERRARI center is a rehabilitation center for brain-injured individuals, in this case children and young people and that l'Ain is the departement in France. I am just looking for an accurate translation of the term 'cabinet médical détaché' - as I have not come across this exact term before. Does it mean a separate surgery - or one that is not situated in the same place - or does the 'détaché' have another meaning here? I am sure someone will know exactly what this is. Thanks.

Anna Maria Have Googled it, of course, and yes, it does appear - but still looking for a concise term, if there is one...thanks!
Non-ProZ.com May 30, 2005:
Francis I think you are probably right...let's see if there are any more suggestions though...in the meantime, thanks!
Non-ProZ.com May 30, 2005:
Writeaway Hi, yes - I forgot to mention that I looked at the idea of secondment, but it didn't fit the meaning here. I think it is more likely to be the second thing you suggest (as backed up by Francis Marc's answer)...
CMJ_Trans (X) May 30, 2005:
dtach can mean 'seconded' (jobwise) or can mean something like - offshoot of the centre
Non-ProZ.com May 30, 2005:
Writeaway Thanks - I will have a look at what you sent me. Of course, I could have done it had I gone into WORD, but I am in a bit of a hurry!

here's a list so you can add any accent you want: http://www.forlang.wsu.edu/help/keyboards.asp
